What is School Leavers Employment Support (SLES)?

SLES is an NDIS funded support for young people beginning their employment journey. Receiving SLES from Immerse and Inspire will provide you with the skills and confidence to become work ready. We will work one on one with the participants at their own pace to develop and build the skills for successful long term employment. Immerse and Inspire have developed programs to begin your employment journey.

Who is eligible for SLES?

To be eligible for the School Leavers Employment Support (SLES) You are a school leaver finishing final year in school and are between the ages of 15 and 24 years old.

If I am not eligible for SLES?

If you are not eligible for School Leaver Employment Supports, but need assistance preparing for work, finding work, and maintaining work, we may be able to assist you through other funding in your NDIS Plan.

Why is SLES important?

The transition from school to work can be a daunting and frightening time. You might not be sure what career you’d like to undertake. Or you might like to do further studies to strengthen your skills. Whatever steps you wish to take, Immerse and Inspire will help guide you and provide the support required for successful employment or study. Immerse and Inspire will work with you to ensure you are set up for a lifetime of success.

School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) works as an early intervention approach, designed to help school leavers navigate the often daunting transition from high school to employment. Supports are often more focused on building capacity and getting ready to work, as opposed to actually searching for work straight away. Disability Employment Services (DES) offer more general support, aimed at assisting anyone aged 17 – 64 to find an appropriate job and maintain long term employment.
